Sweet Ellie and Cool Cards

I want you to meet little Ellie. She’s the daughter of an online friend of mine. Emily and I have been online friends for over a year. We were due with our 3rd child at the same time. We both dreamed of natural home births and babywearing our little newborns. I got my wish; Emily’s life was to change drastically.

On September 12, 2007, Eleanor Rose was born via emergency c-section. Ellie was born with low muscle tone and they still do not have a diagnosis. Her story has touched thousands and she has been featured on local television because of new technology that was first used on Ellie. (You can view the video clip here.) She has fought for each baby step that she has made since birth and truly has shown that God can still work miracles.

But part of her rehabilitation is to receive Craniosacral Therapy and Physical Therapy. These, unfortunately, are not covered by insurance. Here’s where you come in:

A family member of Ellie’s, Jen, owns a stamping and scrapbooking store in NewJersey. This Saturday, she will be having a card-a-thon all day in her store. For every card purchased, $1 will go towards Ellie’s medical costs. The goal? $1,000.
