Sleeping on the Job

At my husband’s work is this owl that lives on top of the building. OK. He’s not real but the geese are suppose to think that he is. Owls are natural predators of geese. Did you know that?  I didn’t. But then again, there were not that many geese when I was growing up in the south…

Except these 2 didn’t get the memo.

They waltz around the parking lot like they own the place.

The geese are there almost every day. Pecking the ground, walking around, pooping on the cars. They really like the fancy cars… the Corvette, Jaguar, and Mercedes. You know… the cars owned by the Big Wigs.  They get special treatment by the geese.  With position comes special privileges.

And that owl just sits there, oblivious to the geese. Staring endlessly into space. Somewhat like some of the employees that work in the building.  (Well, not *my* husband, of course.)

And what do the geese think of the owl?

They give the owl their best side…

  4. LOL - I love that series of shots. Geese are a nuisance here, too. They poop all over the playgrounds and walk in the roads.
