Happy Birthday Part 2
We had Rachel’s birthday party this past Saturday at Gymboree Play & Music. What fun! We wondered how our crowd-phobic little girl would handle a party in her honor, but she saw all of the climbing gym equipment and she was in heaven for 1.5 hours!
Some highlights…
This tire swing was Rachel’s during the entire time. As soon as we walked in the room, her eyes caught on it and she signed and said the word “swing” and went straight to it. And no one… absolutely no one was allowed on it the entire time we were there.
By the way, when she signs (ASL) and says the word… she means business!
Mirror, mirror… who’s the handsomest of them all?
This little guy is the baby brother to one of Rachel’s guests.
Look at me!
Hmmm… I’m not sure about this. I need to check this out first…
Oley!
See, momma? This is square.
Patting the “bubbles” out of the parachute. My oldest daughter is 2nd from the left. She wouldn’t ever admit it, but I think she had fun, too.
You’re probably wondering what had this little guy’s rapt attention. I couldn’t figure out if he was trying to figure out what he was looking at or if he was just so caught up in the moment he was speechless or maybe he was appalled at what was going on…
After all, I thought the clown was a little freaky, too. As you can see, Rachel wasn’t around. She wouldn’t go near the clown during the good-bye song. I don’t blame her.

Oh, so nice. That picture of Rachel in the swing is adorable.
* sigh *
Now I feel even better. Looking at pictures of small children helps.
