Birthday Fun
Some pictures from Strawberry’s Birthday…

Sister, Sister

Yummy!

Signing Time 12 will add more words to her already extensive signing vocabulary.

A Webkins reindeer: No more fighting over her sister’s Webkin.

Grandma Linda sent this pink Nintendo DS. And yea… she already knows how to play on it!

Her big present is…

a toddler basketball hoop! Come on, Spring, so we can play some ball!

These two photos from Kate of Chronicles of a Country Girl arrived on her birthday as well. A few weeks back, Kate posted a photo of a Blue Jay feather. Rachel was so intrigued with the feather that she wouldn’t allow me to move off the page. She kept staring at it and signing the word “blue”. I left a comment on Kate’s blog telling her how much Rachel just loved the picture.
Kate graciously printed the photo and sent it to Rachel along with a sweet note to her. We received it on Rachel’s birthday (perfect timing!) and Rachel wouldn’t put the photo down all day. We went to a homeschool supply store, and she walked around the store with this picture in her hands the entire time. It was so sweet!
Kate also sent another photo for me. Absolutely gorgeous!! I’ll be framing both. The pink flower will go beautifully in my kitchen while the blue feather will hang next to Rachel’s bed.
Thank you, Kate!

What a surprise to come here and see this! Mental P, I gotta agree! Those little lips certainly do match that feather.
I’m sitting here at work reading this and we were all oohing and aahing at the cool gifts and to read that she wouldn’t put down a PICTURE was so adorable!
I am so glad she liked it! You totally made my day. I’m also glad you liked your little gift, too, Christine!

Oh. My. Gosh. She is just TOO CUTE.
(and who knew Kate was that nice
) Her pink flower is gorgeous! I’d be framing it too!
Which reminds me that I rarely print out photos anymore. I really should…

You know, I just had to come back here and see her happy face again. And it makes me feel so good that something so (seemingly) small can make a child happy.
What a lovely, post, Christine!!

Mental P: Rachel just loves the color blue. She wouldn’t let me wipe those blue lips clean at all! LOL
Kacey: You know… you’re right. I really should print some out, too. Last time I printed photos out was when Rachel was a baby. Too long ago!
Kate: I just love it when kids are at this age. Everything small is BIG to them. It is sweet to see. You can see why the Bible says that the Kingdom of God belongs to the little ones.
