Link(s) of the Week: 5 Great Flickr Photo Sets
If you are unfamiliar with Flickr, let me explain. Flickr is an online photo sharing and management website. It has also great discussion groups on many, many subjects; I frequent the Fujifilm Finepix S5200/S5600 group, the GIMP Users group, and the Christian Photographer Fellowship group as well as a few other groups.
While there are many great photos on Flickr, I especially like these photo collections:
If you know and love (READ: addicted) to The Pioneer Woman blog, then you’ll love exploring her photos on Flickr. Photos show life on a cattle ranch in all its gritty, beautiful glory.
I first found George’s photos while searching for flash filters. When I explored the rest of his photos, I was pleased to find outstanding macro photography as well as a fun photo riddle game. He also provides detailed DIY instructions on a variety of topics such as lighting and filters.
I found the link to Sara’s flickr photos through DPS. She participates in Project threesixtyfive and her project photos are all self-portraits. Her self-portraits are sometimes serious, often funny, and always creative.
Jason’s photos are top-notch. In fact, he has more photos (at the count of 5 photos) in the Highly Competitive - Flickr’s 100 Best pool. Visiting his photos will prove why. His landscape photos will leave you simply speechless.
I came across Bryan’s photos while looking at photos from the Christian Photographer Fellowship Pool. His images are vibrant and full of color. His photos consistently get into Flickr’s top 500 Most Interesting Photos for the Day.
And I have to add one more interesting Flickr set that I found last night…
Tad is 19 years old and a gifted animal photographeralready . He’s got some gorgeous macros of butterflies, detailed hummingbird shots, and intriguing reptilian sets. I’ll be watching him for more fantastic images!
Enjoy these Flickr photo collections!

Thank you thank you thank you for the wonderful links. It’s so good to be back and visiting my favorite blogs now that I’m feeling a little better.
PS — I have not sent the feather yet. I have absolutely no photo paper in the house. How did this happen?
