Thought for the day…

As I was preparing Claire the Chair for her funeral service, I suddenly had the thought that I’d better search her body for items that may have fallen under the cushion. After all, you never know what you may find.  Unfortunately, I didn’t find a $100 bill or anything that exciting but we did find Kayla’s missing horse card as well as Rachel’s precious marble.  But a funny thought struck me as I got ready to move her out of the house…

“Never bury your friend without picking their pockets first.” lol

  1. Ha, that’s funny you should mention picking the pockets of the dead. The mother of a friend of ours passed away over a year ago. She was finishing cleaning out the house and she was going to take a bunch of stuff to Goodwill. She decided to call us and have us come see if there was anything we wanted. There was tons of stuff! A couch and loveseat, some exercise equipment, lovely framed pictures, etc. I told Sam later that we had just looted the house of a dead person. Morbid, but humorous. :)
