Claire the Chair
Claire, age unknown, died today on January 17, 2008 doing what she loved most - rocking a baby to sleep. Claire died from a broken back as well as numerous broken bolts.
Claire was born many years ago and was an orphan from an early age. Of unknown parentage, she didn’t let the absence of a father or mother get her down. She strived from an early age to always provide comfort and a place of rest to anyone who wanted it. She was adopted by the Hogue family when she was put on Freecycle. Left to face a uncertain future, the Hogue family rescued and adopted her.
Claire was a member (by association) of New Hope Bible Church in Clarkston and enjoyed the many Bible story readings that was told while she was rocking the Hogue children. Claire has rocked 2 babies, sometimes night and day, and comforted them through many teething pains and sicknesses. She was a faithful and loyal friend to the Hogue family.
Claire is survived by the Hogue family. She will be sorely missed. Especially by the littlest Hogue, who is still cutting 2 teeth and in need of much comfort.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2007 in the morning. Afterwards, she will be buried on top of Oakland Heights.
RIP Claire.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith.

OMG you are too FUNNY!! I love the touch of the flowers in the pic. A very well written obit too, I must say. I love that she was a member (by association) to your church. And the verse is a nice touch as well!! Bwaahaahaa!!!

Nicki: Nothing is more pathetic than me tearing up reading it to my DH! LOL
Weslee: Thank you for your condolences. ::sniff::
Nicole: Those flowers were my bridal portrait flowers. I finally found a use for them other than collecting dust. LOL
Kelli: We’ll be praying your beloved rocker doesn’t contract the same fatal injuries.
For those not local, Oakland Heights is a real place… it is where the landfill is located. But shhh! Don’t tell the kids.
