Link of the Week: Confessions of a Pioneer Woman
My friend Nicki and I email each other frequently on the topic of photography. We are both learning how to use our cameras. Last week, Nicki emailed a link to me for a post by Confessions of a Pioneer Woman about Photoshop techniques. I have my own stubborn opinion about Photoshopping pictures but that’s for another post. What I did find was a blog full of witty, insightful posts that made me laugh out loud or simply marvel at nature.
A 30-something rancher’s wife, she chronicles her journey from city-slicker to frontier woman. And she does it with style, humor, and beautiful photographs. Personally, I envy her. Even as a child, I have dreamed of living on a ranch surrounded by beautiful horses. Wild, rugged, free. Now, I can live vicariously through her posts.
Oh, and while you are visiting her daily blog, don’t forget to visit her cooking blog: The Pioneer Woman Cooks! Mouthwatering photos detail each recipe and makes my tummy rumble in hunger! For a city gal, she sure is talented!

I’m totally envious but I am SURE her life can’t possibly be so glamorous, can it?! I’d be all “getting up at 4am SUCKS! It’s COLD! I’m TIRED! I miss Starbucks!!” haha

You may have a point… I don’t do Starbucks *gasp* and you could always ranch down South (in 110 degree heat no less) but I am NOT a morning person at all…
horses vs sleep
That’s a tough call…
