Feeling a little bit blue…

I’m feeling a bit down tonight… I don’t know if it is due to the fact that I saw my infant son cry his first real tear yesterday (Sat) or that I have had very little sleep in the last week due to his teething.
He is cutting 2 teeth at once. The front bottom two. We’ve been giving him Hylands Teething Tablets and managing the discomfort but the pain seems to have intensified over the last week. He cries or whimpers for much of the day. And Hylands isn’t working anymore. So yesterday, I began giving him some Tylenol to give him some rest. And today I added Motrin to the line-up. He is not a happy camper…
That single tear broke my heart.

Ooooh, poor baby, ouch! And poor mama, too. That is so hard when you feel like there is nothing you can do to help. Hope he is feeling better soon.
Maybe a cold washcloth? My little ones used to love to chew on a cold washcloth when they were teething, beware of the drool, though! ; )

Our foster baby, Catherine, loved to chew on one of Sam’s knuckles when she was teething. He would just wash his hands and pop the middle knuckle of his index or middle finger in her mouth, she loved it.

He loves this cloth bear rattle and will chew on that. My knuckle is his favorite teething object, too.
If I pull my knuckle away because I want to do something with that hand, he will raise a fuss! LOL
