A New Start…
Current Mood:
Wow! An empty blog! This is what it feels like to start over… it sure seems quiet.
There’s something about a nice website that spurs one to post to the blog more often. I found myself bored with the previous blog. I was not inspired. (Well, that and the fact that I had absolutely no online time anyway with a toddler and a newborn…)
So I decided to expand my skills and redesign Hogue Chronicle. I also switched blog software. Primary reason was to expand my own skills - both in terms of graphic design and software. How can I design other people’s websites unless I expand and keep my skills up-to-date? So I have installed this blog on Wordpress software.
Most who know my techy side knows I am a Nucleus CMS loyalist. It is a lean CMS that has so much ability to be customized without being overly complicated. But I wanted to check out other software to see what they were about as well as expand those skills. How do I like Wordpress so far? It’s OK. But I still like my Nucleus. I’ll give a more detailed analysis after a month of constantly using Wordpress, though.
I am also working on establishing a PhotoBlog using PixelPost software. It is a work-in-process at the moment. The purpose of the PhotoBlog will be to showcase the best photos Bryon or I have taken.
So, for right now, this blog is ready to be enjoyed.
