Breastfeeding Books
Below are some can’t-do-without-books I personally use often. I’m sure there are new editions out already, so I would get the latest edition you can find.
Bumgarner, Norma Jane. Mothering Your Nursing Toddler. Practical, supportive advice to extended breast feeding.
La Leche League. How Weaning Happens. Gives advice on when and how to wean your baby from the breast. Shows different scenarios in which weaning might occur.
La Leche League. The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. (7th Edition) THE authoritative guide to breast feeding in general. It has excerpts from mothers and their experiences. Makes it more personal.
Sears, William, M.D. and Martha Sears, R.N. The Baby Book: Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby - From Birth to Age Two. This book has EVERYTHING! From attachment parenting ideas to how to wear your baby to sharing sleep to breastfeeding… he also covers the normal development issues found in other books. This is a THICK book jammed pack with loads of information and support. The BIBLE on attachment parenting.
